Voorzet wins prestigious PIA Web2Awards competition 2009 with VoorWeb™.
VoorWeb™ has been awarded the prestigious Web2Award for the "best home-grown Web-to-Print solution" by the Digital Printing Council of the Printing Industries of America (PIA), the world's largest graphic arts trade association. The award will be presented on November 8th in Orlando Florida, during the anual Converge Conference.
The mission of the web2awards judging body consisting of educators, designers, Web programmers, e-commerce experts, marketers, and industry consultants is to honor excellence in the various categories of print-related websites. In total there will be 8 rewards in the following categories; Static Company Site, Web-to-Print homegrown, Web-to-Print licenced, Most unique product, and Best of Show. The jury had to say the following about VoorWeb™: "Very nicely designed, very elegant looking, perhaps the best looking website of the whole set!".
"We absolutely look at this award as a crown on our work. Especially since we started just this year with offering this new product commercially.", explains Léon van Schie, CEO and founder of Voorzet. "To win such a prestigious award within such a short time of being in business, is a confirmation for us that we've chosen the right approach to our solution. We are extremely excited with this acknowledgement by the Printing Industries of America, and the opportunities that might come out of it! That's why we currently work hard on preparing the launch of the brand new 2.0 version, that will be multilingual and will hold many improvements over the previous version, and lots of new functionality.".
In a further reaction Van Schie notes that his company does have plans to offer their Web-to-Print solution outside of the Dutch borders, where the biggest chalenge will be the United States. "We are convinced that this award will result in more business outside of The Netherlands. That's also why we are truly thrilled with this award by the Printing Industries of America, and the opportunities that might come out of it".
The latest version of VoorWeb™ will be officially introduced during Converge Conference in Orlando, and shortly after that will be made available to all VoorWeb™ customers.
